AHPGIC, Cuttack functions as per the rules and regulations of its own Bye-laws The centre is registered under Society Registration Act (1860 Odisha Act XXI of 1860) with Registration No. 18921/4 of 1984-85 dated 24.04.1984 . The Governing Body under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Minister, Health & FW is the authority for control and administration of the Society. This body is convened not less than twice a year.

i. It generally supervises the affairs of the society. ii. It empowers the Director, AHPGIC as they deem proper to attain the over all objectives subject to the guidelines issued by Governing Body. iii. It constitutes different sub-committees (LPC, Sc-committee, etc) for implementation of different objectives and coordinates their activities. iv. It approves Schemes. v. It authorizes/ Finances publication of studies, treaties, books, periodicals, and sale or arrange for sale thereof. vi. It sanctions for purchase of equipments. vii. It institutes Scholarships. viii. It does anything for furtherance of the objectives of the Society. ix. It Presents the Annual Report and Budget for the working of the Society to Governing Body .
