Anaesthesiology

This department caters to the needs of the departments conducting surgical procedures by providing dedicated Pre-Anesthetic Check-up (PAC) clinics, as well as preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthesia, respiratory, and recovery room care. Ultrasonography-guided (USG-guided) nerve blocks are administered to patients for pain relief. Additionally, the department operates a 20-bed Central ICU (medical and surgical) and a 7-bed HDU. The department also provides out-of-OT services to the Radiation Oncology department for the treatment of pediatric and uncooperative patients, as well as to the Medical Oncology department during the intrathecal administration of chemotherapeutic agents. Finally, the department imparts teaching and training to postgraduate students as per the NMC curriculum.
